Build Your Own Botnet

About This Project

BYOB (Build Your Own Botnet) is an open-source project that provides a framework for security researchers and developers to build and operate a basic botnet to deepen their understanding of the sophisticated malware that infects millions of devices every year and spawns modern botnets, in order to improve their ability to develop counter-measures against these threats.
Its modular design allows developers to easily implement their own code and add cool new features without having to write a remote administration tool from scratch or design the command & control server architecture.
A key feature of the project is that arbitrary code sent from the command & control server can be remotely loaded into memory on target machines without writing anything to the disk and remotely executed while maintaining a very low memory footprint.
